Its easy to fit them after, and there is less chance of bashing/bending stuff. Leave the discs/calipers off if you struggle with the weight :)

Mate those arms look fantastic

When it comes to putting the rear end on, I'm just bolting the full shizzle up in one go.

I'm going to have to get my shit together this weekend :)

If I had hard standing mate I would chuck it on a trolley jack and lift it up in one lump. On gravel I reckon in bits might be the easiest way. winkeye

You better pull your finger out as I am in a rush to drive this biatch!

If your going to put the arms in once the beam is fitted leave the beam fitted loose as the filler neck on the tank gets in the way of one bolt on the drivers side :D putting this lot up together on your own is one big pain in the arse and its made even harder being on a gravel drive

Dez, get down to B&Q and invest in some 1" thick 8x4 sheets of Ply, will be much easier on the old back when underneath, !

my adivce if your on the drive with axle stands is to bolt it in bit by bit,

beam, diff, arms, half shafts etc. This is how i did my 2dr

why struggle?! i'd rather lots of nuts and bolts than a swearing session because its all so heavy bolted together

Oh I am ill with the cleaning bug. It's a slippery slope though. You get one thing powdercoated then you can't put x on as it's not mint so that gets coated etc etc.

The sad thing is the first rainy day it will all be minging

Nar mate done a few now.

Get the 2 bolts started on the left then using a bar (wrapped in a rag) prise the diff bracket till can get the others started. They just spring a bit that's my way anyway. It's worked for me a couple of times now. I will have the diff on and shafts in tomorrow nay bother.

Get your thead updated brother!

If that method works I may well strip my rear end and put it in bit by bit.

I've got to tidy mine up a bit more :)

Updated the thread, only got a little done, but the lump is in at least.

Nice job! Pardon my ignorance but what kind of lip is that? I am in the US and just converted my big aluminum bumpers that came on pre facelift cars here to chrome ones and am looking for a lip just like that. Thanks.
