e30's look hard with their arses on the floor!
im using apex at the moment 60m all around, have no probs on speed humps, even with people in the back.
the trick is driving over them at an angle, although i did fuck my sump up last month

Thank you someone that is making sense!! Its an E30 rear end traction isnt there strongest point at the best of times, why make it worse??? pointless imo.Chaos wrote:dont be a prat all your life.low325icab wrote:to be fair though, who actually wants grip in the wet?? lower it 60mm all round get a nice camber on the back wheels, whack on some wani tyres and get drifting! imo![]()

the amount of places u can safely "drift" on an actual road is very limited.
try it on an average country lane and u will be asking for trouble (and deserve it|)
i for one want lots of grip please, makes for faster progress and more importantly makes for a relaxed time.
i'll stick to making my car slide by skillful use of the pedals and steering wheel WHEN i feel its the right time and place, as opposed to making the car dangerous.
a very good m8 of mine has a really nice e36 M3, its the ideal car really.
excellent grip in the wet making for quick, safe and relaxed progress. But it also has the power to be a hooligans car when he wants.

yeah well thats wat i mean.Jhonno wrote:but then if you do any sort of miles the ride will get boring, the tyres worn and the 1/2 shafts needing replacement every 10mins..

Mine is only lowered 1" I think and I already have to go slowly over speed bumps/humps and on some of them I have to go diagonal. I also have to take it easy out going into and out of some driveways and stuff. It is usually my exhaust that scrapes though, not my sump.panesar_e30 wrote:once again, ive had a 60m drop on all my e30's and havnt had any problems. people go for the 60/40 to get the touring car look.

eh? why does anyone love the camber? i like cars lowered, i don't like the stupid camber - what's the point?eun wrote:its a matter of preference,i know people who love
camber so much they willingly pay for tyres more often
cos they love it that much-i am the same!
