once again, ive had a 60m drop on all my e30's and havnt had any problems. people go for the 60/40 to get the touring car look.

e30's look hard with their arses on the floor!

im using apex at the moment 60m all around, have no probs on speed humps, even with people in the back.

the trick is driving over them at an angle, although i did fuck my sump up last month

dont be a prat all your life.
the amount of places u can safely "drift" on an actual road is very limited.
try it on an average country lane and u will be asking for trouble (and deserve it|)

i for one want lots of grip please, makes for faster progress and more importantly makes for a relaxed time.

i'll stick to making my car slide by skillful use of the pedals and steering wheel WHEN i feel its the right time and place, as opposed to making the car dangerous.

a very good m8 of mine has a really nice e36 M3, its the ideal car really.
excellent grip in the wet making for quick, safe and relaxed progress. But it also has the power to be a hooligans car when he wants.

Thank you someone that is making sense!! Its an E30 rear end traction isnt there strongest point at the best of times, why make it worse??? pointless imo.

at the end of the day tho all of this boils down to
what u actually want out of your car........

A CAR THAT "APPARENTLY" HANDLES EXTRA WELL
FOR DRIVING(couldnt say cos dont have the experience)
OR
A BAD ASS CRUISER :D :D

i prefer mine to be low as a muthafu**er cruising the streets
as IMO i would get more attention, but then im not a
very experienced driver so drifting is not an open road
for me!

however, when i see cars drifting round the roads and
roundabouts in plymouth it does look awesome! :D

so its just a matter of preference! :) :) :)

but then if you do any sort of miles the ride will get boring, the tyres worn and the 1/2 shafts needing replacement every 10mins..

yeah well thats wat i mean.
its a matter of preference,i know people who love
camber so much they willingly pay for tyres more often
cos they love it that much-i am the same!

i will happily pay for extra stuff going if it makes
my ride look sweet in my eyes!

i dont think there is a price i wouldnt pay if i
liked summat that much! :D

see wat u mean tho but havent had the experience of
driving like that yet so i suppose i will find out when i do :?

Mine is only lowered 1" I think and I already have to go slowly over speed bumps/humps and on some of them I have to go diagonal. I also have to take it easy out going into and out of some driveways and stuff. It is usually my exhaust that scrapes though, not my sump.

How much is that lowered ^ ? That is one the looks like it has been lowered more at the front than the back which means it looks even when I look at the wheels in the guards but when I look at the car as a whole it seems to be sloping towards the front. I personally don't like that and I'm not sure what it would do to the balance. It would definately change it from standard but I don't know if it would be for better or worse? I'd rather an even drop all round I think.

I'm not saying that car is bad, it actually looks nice (especially with those wheels). I'm just giving my personal opinion on the ride height.

massive that looks well nice, car is nice too, drop is too low for me. I had 60mm on mine but as I got a bodykit, I had to get sensible lowering springs so now running 25mm all round.

lol, still can't say i get why a massively angled wheel looks good :D I've seen some really angled ones, it just looks like the wheel's gonna break...lol

as far as i'm concerned it's a deficiency of the e30 suspension design, that lowering it results in excessive negative camber... :P

she loves mine tho she is gradually startin to like the
e30's more and more
