Ah cool, without going out into the cold, is the position of the inlet side arm the same position as the arm that came off the car? or does it sit further back.

Sorry its just that i havent got it in front of me

You can see the 4 holes where the mount was removed on this engine

Boomer

Do your engine arms look the same as mine? I got mine from a scrapyard a few days ago and just checking I did get the right ones.

Next problem, what do i do with the dip stick tube as it now completely prevents me fitting the inlet-side mount.

Also i have fitted the exhaust-side mount and quickly measured it and it looks like it has to be ifitted in the rear holes afterall!

The arms fit roughly in the middle of the engine, looking at the picture I posted above you can see the mount arm fixing holes either side of the coolant hose

I trying to fit the inlet side mount and one of the bolts won't go it.

The one i'm talking about is the bottom right hole in the picture below.

It's like it doesn't have a thread? Is this normal?

It does have a thread, but its full of rust. You need to run a tap down it

You should be using all 4, no reason why it cant be tapped out again, unless you have 'animaled' a bolt into it? :)
