Also consider what this kind of money would get you in the way of Ferrari's and other nice stuff...;)

A car can only be "new" and unused once which makes this car unique. To some people paying 3 times the price of a tarted up shiny turd with an "interesting" history is a small premium for something that is irreplaceable.

I agree. A Group A M3 might be only a little bit more or even the same price but Group A M3s pop up all the time for sale.

If I had the money I'd go for the Sport Evo with 50 miles.

Id stick my neck on the line and say if such car (M3 evo sport with super low miles) was about then someone on here would have found it and posted it on here already because such a car just would be advertised somewere on the net or on an exclussive auction site etc, i dont care what anyone says.

By the way im jay kay do you want to see my car collection? easily done tut tut

You are assuming, that if this car exists, that it is even being
"advertised" through channels the likes of us would have access to. Mega wealthy collectors, of which the owner of the Bonkers
collection presumably is, would be more likely be contacted
personally by another Mega rich collector.

Then again, it could always actually be, Bullshit.
I reserve my judgement

I was sceptical to untill i realised who bonkers is and yes that is his collection!

Also, just because its not known on this forum or any for that matter, doesn't mean it doesn't exist!

There is alsorts of stuff hidden away that isn't known!

Totally agree.

The owner of my local BMW dealer has a very very low mileage E30 M3 in red. It's normally stashed in a storeroom. Also has a Z1. How many people on here knew that?

Out of the 500 sport evos that were made, how many are actually accounted for?

Many of those that are not are probably hidden away in storage.

Bonkers, is the annoying advert featuring "trevor" anything to do with you?

600 Sport Evos were built.

There is a delivery mileage E34 M5 for sale at present, for £45k.

Bonkers is a colletctor of low milage cars, and also appears to be on the trade, so will have contacts. Often these sorts are cars are sold by word of mouth only.

Good luck with purchase m8

I know a guy who has owned a Lachs silver M3 since brand new, it has 8k on the clock, he is not a member of the zone, and probably never will be.

I agree with many points made here..

I bought my M3 through word of mouth, not ebay/e30zone ad etc..

Any cars such as this would rarely be advertised, yet will still sell

What im saying is anyone could call them selves 'bonkers' and post that link, no? Like i said i could open a new account call my self jay kay or similar and post links to his collection, would you also beleive that?

just seems unlikely that if the bloke on here called bonkers is in the trade and has that mega collection he would be asking us the value of it, he would know very well. Plus good luck bartering and trying to make a 'deal' on such a car as i doubt that would happen.

I dont like to think the worst of people but there is a lot of dreamers out there sadly :D

no doubt il get my mouth shut when he gets it and posts it here, i will wait :D

Why would he know?! He is a Ford guy.. I woudn't know shit about the value of a Dagenham turd, yet would be able to price an E30..

Why wouldn't it?! Just as buying anything, it is open to negotiation..

hmm just seems unlikely to me, if i had such a car id have a price for it and stick to it and wouldnt budge as someone would come along and pay it, then again if it was mine it would be advertised everywere :)

Hmm my ex-boss and recent previous owner of MY local BMW dealer gave his sister a new Sport Evo for a wedding present. She still owns it, and it was showing approx 2,500 miles last time I saw it in the summer.
Its so mint, the dealer used it when BMW came to audit their bodyshop when I worked there.
He also has a very late T plate 840Ci Sport, a white M1 with some spangly graphics on the bootlid, and some old Frazer Nash BMWs. I did have photos of some of them but I dropped my phone down the bog a while back & lost the lot.

Sounds like jealously is starting to show its ugly head :P

As said, there is no reason a car has to be on the internet or advertised on it to exist...

Friend of mine got a mint M3 thats nearly finished a restoration for a song and dance recently through word of mouth.
Most good deals and rare items are found much easier through word of mouth I find anyway. Anything of reasonable value on the net is either snapped up or holds a considerable price tag.

Oh and just for the record... A BMW dealer in Dublin has an M1, 320i limited edition thing with 7K or something very low and also a lovely 2002 :)

Think that dealer also has at least one Z1.

I can see why some would think "bonkers" could be anyone, it's just a screen name. It is up to us to give him believe it or not.

I believe it and wish him luck with the car if he buys it, hopefully Bonkers will post up some pics for us.
