I guess you mean the M52 B23? (or is it B25?) Anyway its a 2.5, so not a bad option, but unless you have the engine already get an M52B28 in there and tune it ;)

Lots of 24 valve cars here :)

sorry its 2.5 170 hp engine. but it is called 2.3

yes its m50 b23 engine:) well i dont want to have something so fast like 2.8;) 170 hp will be enought for me:) I need some technical informations. Is there any problems to put this engine into my car? I have never seen e30 with this engine and I dont know for sure that its possible.

Fitting the M52B23 is exactly the same as fitting as fitting the M52B28, and largely the same as fitting the M50B25. All the info you need is in the epic thread mentioned above, and, as you will see, there is no one correct way of doing it.
P.S: If your car is left hand drive, a considerable amount of the info on here will not be relevant.

Plus, it will also respond a lot better to any mods you do than an M50 would

the car is called 323ti or 523, but the engine is M52B25 as bss325i said.

Do these M52/b25's have an alloy block like the b28?
