Dan, I'm still in London.
Redundancy, a change in career and returning to study may necessitate me selling the sport
I'd love to see your car in the flesh sometime, you going to any meets soon

You got no chance Dave, he should be starting to contact M3 specialists now as it will take him a while to find one!
X works has a nice headlining
I rarely go anywhere near London Paul, the car is tucked up in the garage out of the weather and wont be going far for the rest of the winter.

The dent will one day be worth sorting, until then disregard it. Yours is a nice car. Look after and cherish it. Your neighbours probably have modern cars that shine as well but are still depreciating faster than yesterday's News of the World.
With a car that close to "stock" though, you have a dilema: do you enjoy it or keep it standard:
Keep the faith. Stay on the Zone.

The caliper brackets are soaking in Asda value cola, I now know why its only 17p a bottle, because its crap....
Vinegar is supposed to be good isnt it? Will try that next, got quoted £150 to have the front two rebuilt/electro plated so will prob do it myself
Need to ring back about the clutch plates tomorrow

Have you tried electolysis? I tried it with some bolts and it worked a treat. I used this guide and bought the stuff from Wilkos:

Yeah I've tried batt acid. It works ok, but I prefer the electricity because it does no harm to any rubber bits and you can stick your hands in the mixture
I've given up on this now - I just give the bits to Bob and they come back acid dipped and powder coated! Costs more but it's worth it

How does it cost more? you drop them off and go and watch some tele with the cat then they re-appear for almost no cost?

Just the same as the rest of your car mate. Keeps getting better and better.
You got the rears on yet?
Are you making the rears as a kit? If so we need to talk
