how to get the plug out of the ecu?

i want to unplug it to see the ecu number?

i am getting a chip off ant, and i havnt seen or done this before,..

any brave soul willing to give me the step by step?

if u can c the ecu there is 4 10mm bolts remove them and then simply un clip and remove/pull

the ECU number will be on top on the blue sticker

then u need hex bolts to access the ECU

did my viper chip today mate, its easy peasy stuff really

unbolt ecu and will come off

that metal clip, metal brace type thing u need to pull it back, then the ECU simply pulls apart, you get what i mean?

na u need to remove the 4 10mm bolts securin the ecu to the dash then the plug will come out

the brace is off and back, but wont separate..

and i cant fint the 4 screws that hold the ecu on

ant the ecu number is where then, on a lable on the underside i can see? or the side the is against the roof of the glovebox?

there was a screw in the big plug ( small hole on the right hand side of the plug) i removed it, should i do that or is it not part of the process?

a small silver one? ye i think it needs removing i always take it out

the ECU number should be on a blue sticker on the ECU, facing upwards when ECU is removed if i remember rightly

dude that 1 is the abs ecu the engine ecu is under the steerin wheel

drop the dash panel down, youl see a gold brace being held up by four ten mil bolts, follow the steps given above

yep and if u look under the bonnet an the pas side at the front there should b a unit with pipes goin in and uot that is the abs pump

As your car is a left hooker you are at the correct ECU behind glove box. ECU is under steering wheel on right hand drive cars.
