yes i did. i now realise that everyone on the internet hangs on my every word so i should not act in such an irresposible manner as suggesting people go fast around a track.DanThe wrote:I hope you learned your lessonfuzzy wrote:the last time i mentioned times on the ring i was practically accused of leading people to their deaths by encouraging dangerous driving.

...and shame on all those others encouraging the death of our impressionable youth.
Thats a bit of a broad statement. I have seen locals in 911 GT3 RS's with stop watches taped to their steering wheels.Rich_W wrote:The ONLY people who care about ring times in their cars are people that watch too much Clarkson and beleve EVERYTHING that he says as 100% truth
Only the occasional coach full of tourists!fuzzy wrote:there cant be many that make the trip to view the trackside scenery at 30mph.

I doubt it mate. I really want to go myself, but would be rather scared of that place. More so with other drivers all around, some you overtake, other who gun it past you.e30bmlover wrote:iv never been... but i would love to go!! when are you going next year barry?? i could take the dirty six too!! iv never been around a track though! will the ring be ok for a novice?? i mean a complete novice!!!bss325i wrote:Next year now. My first time on track was the BMW was the ring. And be under no illusion, your first lap. You won't overtake ANYTHINGNay wrote: I doubt it mate. I recommend doing a fair few trackdays first!
You live in the mainland right? Go to one, you can! Living in jersey means we have to ferry over to the UK with our car, or book one of those track day things where you get given cars. We need a track in jersey so badly. There is one place left in the island that is ok to make one, but it wont happen....
We have hill climbs, rallys, sprints/drags, motorcross and trails, but no track and so many fast cars!

go on one of the track days in france organised by the local guys? info on it on CICS.Nay wrote: You live in the mainland right? Go to one, you can!
