That parcel shelf :chuckle: i closed my eyes as i pressed "buy it now" though, so it didnt really happen becuase i didnt see it happen :P
The audio spec wiring was good for the fan then :chuckle: You dont need brakes to go test it sideways
Big thanks again to glenn actually for sorting me out with a caliper!
Tony, you dont have a decent funnel actually for pouring petrol into the tank? My one i used before wasnt brilliant and i ended up with more petrol on my trainers than in the car :-x

It drove amazingly super brilliantly up and down the driveway, really does pay off having the car rebushed with oem bushes like the m3 front bushes and that! Really does have that sleeper look with the standard ride height :D

Gotta love the noise of 24v's!!

Just got back from taking Pauls car for its MOT.
Wasnt lucky enough to pass first time but only failed on both headlight aim too low and O/S front wheel touching antiroll bar on full lock.
Both easy enough to sort out so hopefully back in for free retest tomorow and thats it done :D

Aye, would of been nice if it passed first time - would of been a good 21st birthday present! But at least its only simple things that need to be done! :D

Engine should be producing about 190BHP.

Certainly does. Are you keeping the 316 badge on the back BTW? Just to give the local pug and corsa drivers a bit of a shock? winkeye

It does sound fantastic. I was over at Tony's the other day and it's a hell of a car. I can't help thinking that the M50 looks so at home in an E30 and your's with the heat shield makes everything under the bonnet bits look very factory. This conversion is a great piece of work. :thumb:

The steering joint was made up from an "e34 steering joint" that i bought off ebay which was apparently from euro car parts. Although it is different to the conventional e34 steering joint! And the bottom end is a proper e34 steering joint. The bar was shortened and rewelded to the other joint.

The 316i badge will be staying on the back :D without a doubt! My mate was in awe at how at home the m50 looks in the engine bay :chuckle: Tony really has done a super job on it :D

And ive just got in from taking some "for sale" photos for my iS :( spent all morning washing + waxing it. Regained my sight again now though because its so shiny!

EDIT: denzil, did you get my PM i sent last week?

i hope i can make the october meet in the m50 though. I've got in contact with the previous owner of the iS to see if he wants it back. And i've had interest from others too. Feel sad now i've gone through the reciepts and service history for it though :( Anyway...

Nah, as much as my ancestral roots are grounded in your part of the world and much further north , I have to say that Paul's car's natch home is along the winding lanes of the moors and coastal roads here in Devon. Congrats Paul and bloody well done Tony.

I have to agree there, gotta love the coastal road to exeter and generally the coast down here!

My black parcel shelf with blind and original speaker grills arrived this morning too for the m50 :D

It looks better now its settled a bit, i could live with it for a while :screwy:

Anyway. I've bought an m3 wiring panel and eko has done a grand job of fitting it

Ive been having thoughts of carbon fibre and have been thinking about doing my own bits. So i might even make up a mould for the relay and ecu cover and go carbon fibre on its ass!

The m50 was supposed to be on for a rolling road session on saturday. But now after being let down with a timewaster with my iS for sale its looking unlikely :(

im not until the iS has sold hence my complete fury at timewasters. Until its gone i cant insure the m50 :x

i got a quote with directline (to see if they would transfer my policy, and for a laugh), adrian flux, brentacre and graham sykes.

Cheapest was graham sykes - £968 TPFT, about £1500 fully comp. Not too bad really.
