But how does the pin come out?

Ive undone the 10mm bolt on the top (red arrow)
But how does the pin come out? (green arrow)
Blue arrow shows where there is play
Does it tap out or screw out? its soaking in WD40 as we speak.
Thanks (in advance)

The head of the bottom part is slotted and im pretty sure its plastic.SPADGE wrote:If the bottom part hasn't got a head to accept a spanner then this will be the case.

I'm pretty sure the bolt you have removed screws into the bottom part and that slot is there to stop it turning but again its been a while....leeparkes wrote:The head of the bottom part is slotted and im pretty sure its plastic.SPADGE wrote:If the bottom part hasn't got a head to accept a spanner then this will be the case.
Cheers for the help!

Sorry Mike but removing the door is not required to repair the hinge pin.m_jermyn wrote:You have to pull the whole door off... Undo the bolt on both hinges get a mate to hold the back of the door while your knee under the door clost the the hinge and lift it up and off... One you have the door off lie it on a bench with something soft underneath and work from there.
Mike

Ah,now i see how it goeswillnz wrote:You need to remove the bolt and then it should just pull apart. Pics below, first the upper hinge, remove bolt arrowed and it will come apart, see part in second pic. (these are front door hinges)
Lower hinge, again remove bolt arrowed, should pull apart, part shown in second pic below.
