Hi

Can anyone please tell me how to fix this!

The electric windows basically only work when the doors are opened!

I think it is a fault somewhere with the green/gray wire, but where does it end up?

There is a positive signal when doors are open, but nothing with just the ignition?

Thanks

Comes from relay K5, via fuse 17. Do you have an electric roof? That shares the same supply.

Not meaning to hijack this thread but.......

For weeks now I've had a fault somewhere in the heater blower/window circuit. Firstly the power flickers on and off (you can see the window switches and sunroof switch flickering :) ) when you drive normally. The blower does the same.
When stopped and the doors are closed, ignition on nothing at all.
When doors are open and ignition on the windows work fine but the blower does not.
Is there a relay that switches the power from the switches to the ignition?

To find a solution to this would make me a very happy man......

cheers,

Mark

All these are fed from the K7 unloader relay. This relay and K5 are connected to be on with the ignition, but to drop out when the starter motor is engaged.
New relay in K& position might work wonders.

For "K&" read " K7".

These two relays don't have an earth as such. Their earth connection is through the coil of the stsrter solenoid (smallest of the ring terminals on the starter motor).

Was playing around with bulbs, batteries, switches and bits of wire at the age of four making circuits, so I've been told. Electrics have always come fairly easily to me. Bodywork and paintwork - there's a different matter alltogether.

It's the end result that matters. not the route.
