New head + new gasket after old one overheated (reason last owner sold car to me). No more mayo or leaky problems, but some oil residue in the cooling system
I've put speedflush through twice (ran the car 40-50 miles between flushes), drained the rad and engine block (WHAT AN ANNOYING PLACE TO PUT THE COOLANT PLUG - behind the exhaust manifold - why god, oh why did ze germans do zat?)!
But still some oil residue in the water
I'm gonna relace all the hoses soon, but wanted it squeaky clean first to prolong the life of the new rubber, but not sure how to get rid of the old crap, albeit just a little residue.
Any tips or extra-strong products that will be safe to use? Or should I just ignore it (I'm not good at ignoring problems though...).
Thanks in advance
