Had to do it.

Ap CP5200 with 315x28 disks - All custom made by BG developments, the bell incorporates a 15mm spacer. The disk is very close to the tie rod but nothing critical. I gave BG a strut a wheel and asked them to fit the best size of disk for my 16" wheels.

What a difference!

Yes i know my hartges need a refurb but one thing at a time!

How much do the discs come in at when you need to change them?

The rotors are £220 + vat each and they have a wear depth of 1mm

Ouch. Is it 1mm because you'll go straight 'through' the grooved sections.

Jon, i think it has something to do with the efficiency of the disk dropping off really badly when 'some' of the mass has worn away.

Im running DS2500 with these because they are kind to disks unlike Pagid, mintex etc.

do they specifically use lucozade as brake fluid?

how's the arch clearance with the new combined offset? a the bells 15mm thick or 15mm thicker than the standard discs?

Hi Gareth,

The bells are 7mm + 15mm = 22mm over all. No problem with arch clearances (BG made me a spacer and sent it over so i could bolt everything up and check for issues before they machined the brackets and bells)

Over all this kit weighs about a third of the audi TT/300mm.de kit and its instantaneously noticeable when driving the car. Im actually shocked about the difference (lighter/more responsive steering and very little locking up when braking really hard)

Nah not cheap! But well worth it, a kit like this will never really loose its 'value'

I would highly recommend David at BG hes a very nice guy and did an amazing job at getting these rotors/callipers to fit under my wheels. Its not an easy setup, they had to make several mockups and build the kits up, then where they could they machined down the brackets/bells and built the kit up again and they did this until there was mm's clearance everywhere! I actually think that the finished 'spacer' was 13mm not 15mm but i need to wait and see the drawings. Im off to the ring tonight so i had to get these on!

I started doing this for the e21 but using wilwood disks but could not get the packaging to work due to the pad depth, wilwood seems to use bigger rotors than AP for the same pad depth but the disks are only £50 a pop.




I was working the same set up for the rear with a 3 pice disk which has an inner steel ring for the hand brake.

The TT setup is not bad considering that when it fist came out there was little else on the market for E30's!

Currently ive got Z1 282 X 10 on the rear with M3 calipers and a bias valve to regulate the balance.

£50 a pop would be nice, but im hoping that because i only do about three track days a year i might be able to make the disks last a 'season'

Not only Money, its the time!

The car is almost done now, cage in, painted, electrics rewired, just got to fit the electric power steering, seats then MOT and TAX.

Is it completely electric or electric/hydraulic? Ive looked at an electric/hydraulic before and thought about molesting it

Its an Electric hydraulic motor from a Merc A Class as used by the E46 GTR MS cars.

Just need to make a bracket and re route the hoses from the rack to the pump. Only Three wires to connect up for the pump! - I will fit a switch so i can turn it off for feel

Have you upgraded the oil cooler? Plan to?

Hmmm, not sure on the column idea, too much faffing about to make it work! - and Corsas dont exactly have the best feedback!

Oil cooler? - The stock one is more than enough (my temps rarely go above 110degC) if i was to do one or more laps on the ring then yes i would need a Mocal (or equivalent). Thats dead easy to fit!
