M30 swap again :( (alilve again :))

Yep got to do it again, Given up with the current lump, bought a donor car, and will have to go again. If anyone want's to lend a hand with the swap I won't say no, I don't fancy doing it on my own again.

Any hoo, the new engine has full history stamped too. sounds good enough. i will be going on position 3 this time, use the loom from the e34 and not mix the 2. use the header tank from the e34 aswell i think. rekon i have two full "broken" days work between the swap's to get it all done in. Will start this monday if possible.

Got 2x engine + a whole e34 535 now. Will take the head off the one in the e30 today just so I can have a look at the pita,

Everything except the block is out. And the tranmission is ready to drop now. Taken my loom out to, as the other will still look stock, and mine looked poo.

Cracked block. Was casusing pressuer in the water system. Found a 353i with fsh to rape and fit in instead.

Big thank's to Blingsta for helping me the lump out of the e34. Could not have done that on my own that easy.

removing a M30 is easy... just cut the downpipes rear of where you need them, undo the prop, remove wiring, hoses etc, remove front bumper and rad then cut the slam panel and front panel with a hacksaw, lift the weight on an engine crane, remove mounts and roll the car away! that's the fun way anyhow!

this one is done but doesnt have an MOT, well, i will be playing with the exhaust then it will be done.

Pulled it with eroll last monday. Will be removing and fitting new exhaust stud's this monday. Might even wash the engine bay and maybe just maybe, make this engine look half decent. Got to work out where to out the coolant bottle as i'm using the e34 one this time. The monday after that I won't be around. But the folling one should be fit and drive day.

took years for me to get round to painting the manifold and rocker cover on mine, and that's only because the head was off getting skimmed and i was bored!

Started at 10 and finnished at 4. Serviecd the E dirty 4 too. And got the 2 tone tech 2 ready for the mot next week. Amazing what you can get done in a day. Still got to get to the other side of london tho meet wilson for some bit's though.
