It certainly was.
Turned out I had THREE knackered ones!
I had an auto electrician round last weekend and he diagnosed it in about a minute, so I bought a brand new one from BMW.
Then in my excitement of having a running engine again (first time in two months) I neglected to tie back the wires to the ignition coil, so a mile and a half up the road they slipped down on to the turbo and downpipe, melted, and it seems likely it has blown something in the ecu!
My fault entirely, but still bloody annoying!

Damn, thats a pain in the arse. Mine has a few niggling issues and I am starting to get sick of a 4.45 diff on an m42.

Shame it was a bit empty. I need to try and get to next months, provided I will have the fundage. Mrs86 has reminded methe other day there is an awfull lot for the wedding that is going to been paying for in the next few months.
