I reckon your 40/40 drop looks good, mate and is probably more pratical that mine. If i do another drop, it will be that.

I agree it does, i don't want to drop it 60mm as it's already too low on 40mm. Putting in a bigger/better/heavier engine might just do the jobraj1980 wrote:thats looking sweet. i know most might not agree but i think the front needs to come down more.

i need more power from my car too, what are you planning? i have been looking at a 325 conversion as its easy and cheap power. i need to get it looking right first.

Main problem/issue is the manifold, if you know a good welder then you'll be alright, otherwise expect to pay around £700 for a ready made one
It's more work and more expensive than fitting an M30 but is a more modern engine, with the same sort of power figures

Doesn't a stock M30B35 put out about 230bhp ? whereas a stock M52B28 is just under 200 ?
I know you can release extra horses on the M52 with manifold swaps etc but if you're going to feck around doing that you may as well do it on the larger capacity engine to start with

220BHP standard but expect most to be around the 210BHP mark. Still undecided over M30 or M52capri_rob wrote:Cheers fella - still a good starting point in un-stressed standard formgooner1 wrote:No mate , think the stock M30 puts out between 211- 218 bhp.

Well if you want something to weigh it down, M30 will do it, as M52s are lighter than M20s. Just put a few bricks behind the lights.
Not in E30s any more

Imy M30 it - you can get a 535i or a 735i donor car for next to nothing - you know it makes sense

Front offset is 20 and back is 15 i think, could be the other way round
Front wheels are 7.5j wide and the rears are 9j wide
Got stretched tyres all round, 195/40/16 on the front and 205/40/16 on the back
