after reciently fitting my new mf, im worried about the arrowed part,s gettin too hot,the car is a daily drive and i didnt realise how much heat comes off it,i dont realy want to tape it up...?thank's :D

i think they are built to withstand certain temps, they are always going to heat up anywhere under the engine bay

normal heat from a standard manifold yes, but the heat produced by this manifold has me concernd.

my clutch fluid bottle didnt melt that much right next to a glowing red hot turbo so i reckon itll be fine.

forget heat shield, you may as well heat wrap the manifold, they says it cuts engine bay temperature slightly and somehow benifits in other ways too. . . im not sure if any of thats true but i had a mk1 golf cabby with a 16v motor in it with the manifold heat wrapped and none of the wires in that got burnt or anything. . . not very pretty looking though?
