My Alpine unit would hit the stalk if the original panel was still fitted.
LHD panel solves the problem.
OBC repositions OK, but poverty spec clock may need the wire's lengthened a little bit.
The other way,is to cut a little bit off the end of the offending stalk(yes people actually do that).

Wouldn't that affect the OBC control on the stalk? The other way,is to cut a little bit off the end of the offending stalk(yes people actually do that)

I'm noy sure exacly where the connections are on the obc stalk TBH.
I've definately seen it done on cars without OBC fitted.
I just use the LHD panel i've got.
You could remove the centre vents and relocate the unit in there and blank off the original din slot.

I was in the process of doing this, but with the hours i work haven't had time to finish it....basically as you can see from the pic above the right hand side of the panel doesn't fit 100% flush (you can see the groove that's supposed to be under the panel that goes under the clocks). I'm going to get this 100% before i finally finish fitting this!shedrool83 wrote:Get yourself a lhd facia, its an easy swap and your problem will be solved plus you stock wont be butchered.gcs325i wrote:Shedrool83 has done this and it looks rather good.DJ_B4L wrote:thinking of changing the E30 facia to a left hand drive any one done this?
I've got some time off from work in 3 weeks, and plan on getting quite a few jobs done on the car...will be posting pics up when it's done.
But yes, this is the cleanest way of doing it.
