In order to make my life easier does anyone know how you remove the barrel and what normally causes them to jam ??
Any help would lead to a peaceful homelife this weekend....

Now that sounds far to easy.. Can it be that easy ??elliot wrote:mine did this not so long back. quite easy to remove
remove the door trim, locate the back of the barel and remove the plug which may be attached
there should be a flat clip which hlods the barel tight to the door, this can be removed with a large flat headed screwdriver.
make sure you recognise which way round the barrel comes out.
spray with loads of wd40.
reverse the above for refitting

you reassure me with your confidence... If you're wrong I'm coming to leeds !!!!!dazleeds wrote:yeppp

Insert the key and turn it both ways while holding the outer barrel. End bit should flip from side to side.

Well I gave it my best shot !!! The barrel is absolutely fine. The problem lyes with the locking mechanism. When you turn the key it moves a lever up and down which is supposed to sit nice and neatly between this fork type thingy which activates the lock. This fork type thingy is no longer secure so I keeps jamming and locking up the barrel.peejay wrote:Well, is it sorted?if so mines a pint of Stella !
