There is very little weight to be saved by using GRP wings as the steel ones are so light. The bonnet is worth while doing though, as is the sun roof

Just lose the sunroof and it's Tray. It's all weight in the wrong place on the highest point on the car

It would probably save a good 10kgs up there

The car has already lost the sun roof and it has a fibre glass bonnet. So I Just thought that taking as much weight out of the front of the as possible was a good idea to help the balance...

Front wings are about £200 a pair and save about 2kgs each.

£200 for 4kg is good in the racing world!

Isn't the rule £1000 per kg lost is good going.

What have you replaced the sun roof with?

Yes I think so, they'll just use it as an excuse not to pay out when you need it most, like when someone takes the front end off your car.

It's best to declare any deviation from standard I reckon.

Seems they don't care about lots of things, but if you've told them (and got a record of telling them!) they can't complain if you claim.
