There is very little weight to be saved by using GRP wings as the steel ones are so light. The bonnet is worth while doing though, as is the sun roof

Yes I think so, they'll just use it as an excuse not to pay out when you need it most, like when someone takes the front end off your car.do you always have to declare GRP panels to the insurance? im sure ive read it in the small print on a policy previously?

It's best to declare any deviation from standard I reckon.
Seems they don't care about lots of things, but if you've told them (and got a record of telling them!) they can't complain if you claim.
