Really did,nt want to start a new year like this, but also don,t wish to see anyone else treated this way either. Jaffro and a friend came down to my house early last year and picked uo some M30 conversion parts, all of which were paid for. However Karl wanted a set of grey cab leathers that i had . No problem, i thought, take them and pay me later.
Since then i,ve had nothing but poor excuses from him.
Have since found out that he has sold his cab with my leathers in it,
and have not heard or received one penny from him.
Seems like i,m not alone in this as there is at least one other member with a problem. Get it sorted Karl.

Yes Dan. Know he was having a few personal problems, relationshipDanThe wrote:Early last year?
and health wise, but as he was sort of keeping in touch up to about October, i thought i,d give him the benefit of the doubt.
Like i say, i,m not alone in this, which if i,d known earlier i would,nt have left it this long.

you must be mad or very trusting to let someone have something without paying for it especially something with a high value like leather interior

So it was over 6 months ago? IMO there is no excuse for anything over a week, if he didnt have the money he shouldnt have taken them or made promises he wasnt going to keep. As for selling them on in his car thats just rubbing it in your face, how much does he owe you?

Rob you are too trusing mate
This Jaffro fella has bought and sold a number of things on here in the last 12 months including decent value stuff such as engines etc....so there is NO excuse for him ripping you off!
If you fancy a trip up there to collect give me a shout and i'll come with you.

I know mate, but as it,s one of more endearing features i,m loathe to change. Tbh i don,t recall ever having a problem like this before, certainly not on here, in fact quite the opposite.SPADGE wrote:Rob you are too trusing mate![]()

I have had problems with Jaffro too.
I'm only down £30 now, so its become more of a joke than any real urgency to send in the heavy mob. I had patience of a saint at the start, because I didn't want to loose out on the M3 prop (which are hard to come by). The excuses have been farcical:
Mar 20 paid Jaffro c/o rick325i for an M3 Prop
Mar 23 paid Jaffro c/o rick325i for M30 Manifold
PM's:
Mar 31 6.13pm Excuses about courier not collecting
Apr 23 9.26pm More excuses about 'new' courier
May 04 12.34pm Wanted my postal address. He didn't have it!
May 22 7:17 pm More excuses, said it would ship soon.
Jun 02, 8:48 am Said I would get tracking number soon
Mon 09 12:02 pm More excuses, no tracking number.
Jun 12 7:14 pm Prop arrived - Manifold missing! Jaffro said courier lost it
Jun 26 9:13pm ”aWaiting for refund from courier”a
Aug 11 10:20 am ”aMay have Replacement to send you”a
Sep 04 11:10 am ”aWill post in a day or to”a
Sep 27 11:15 am ”aBeen sent”a, tracking number to be posted.
Nov 02 3:33 pm More excuses
Nov 13 2:44 pm ”aIts on it's way”a
I had forgotten until now that I paid rick325i the money. I'll have to contact him.

Got a feeling Jaffro may well be in Spain or Portugal now.DanThe wrote:Who is it on here that is quite good mates with him? Ric something his username is

What grinds on me more about this sort of thing is that you have TRUSTED someone off the zone. This site has always been (and should always be) about trust and helping people. We were only discussing this at the Ace the other night. Theres a group of us that all seem to bounce off one another and it's an unwritten agreement that we don't rip each other off, ask and pay fair prices and assist with tools and help if we can oblige. It's all about the trust.
This Jaffro wallah has just taken the p1ss and advantage of your nice and patient nature. AND there seems to be more and more of it happening. I was lucky with the issue i had a few weeks ago, the zoner was man enough to admit he'd made a mistake and fully refunded me. But that seems to be in the minority at the mo.
Stick with it mate. RIC325i? could he help in all this? I realise he was not involved as such but a new address or phone number would be a help

Trev, have sent Ric325i a couple of PM,s,no reply as yet. When i say i,ve written it off, i don,t mean i,ve forgotten
all about it, just not going to sit and brood about it. Life,s too short. As you rightly say though, you would think
there would be a bit of honour amongst people on here. Oh well, if it saves someone else being ripped off
that would be a positive.

Rob, This sucks donkey d*ck in a big way! Don't write off the money, Scammers generally rely on people giving up and then they get what they want!
You tend to find a group that you can trust without thinking about it, I know there are some, No lots of genuinely good lads on this forum that I can call in a favour from at pretty much any time and I hope people think of me in the same manner. As you say trust is what makes this scene what it is!B7 wrote:What grinds on me more about this sort of thing is that you have TRUSTED someone off the zone. Sorry to hear that Rob.
I had trouble with Jaffro too, but saying that I never paid for what I was expecting, he just said pay for it when it arrives???
It never did arrive and it put a stop to my conversion
He was for ever putting an engine in and selling it the next week or so
Isn't he a mod or something? - E30 Zone Graphic DesignerHartgeH27 wrote:Ric325i is local to me.

Rob - this stinks. Persevere and go for your dosh. I'm presently trying to get some money back from a zoner (albeit a pitiful amount - but I have principles) and it stinks.
In my case the twot was looking for a steelworker near him a while ago, so I gave him the mobile number of one of my best mates who does this and lives not too far from him. OK, he may not have bothered to contact my friend, but it pees me off when I stupidly assume that others concept of 'community' is the same as mine.
Bring on the E30 Zone Community ASBO - that's what I say!
