thanks lads, the drop was suppose to be about 40mm, but its more like 25-30mm. was hoping it was a bit lower. but it performs imppecably so im not worried. (i may change to H&R springs next year to see if there is any difference)

i think im right in saying that e30's are known for not going low without coilovers ?

p.s the seat is fitted up, feels awesome, give you much more confidence in yourself, and i just feel alot more safer.

thanks

Junior

There's two major threads on lightened flywheels. One is in the Group Buy section and the other is being run by Hongkongfuey in General Chat.

The Group buy are talking about getting the weight down to about 4.5kg and hongkong has just done his first and shaved it down to 5.9 I think (but there's room for improvement I gather). Hongkong looks like he's cheaper at the moment than the group buy but someone will be along no doubt to correct me!

just getting her ready for monday, done rocker cover gasket, fitted new plugs, oil, oil filter, cleaned isv, cleaned TB, wached out the inlet manifold, new endlinks, removed the throttle body water block (crap that you dont need in this climate) and satin blacked the rocker/inlet, and gave her a good check over, all is well. :)

fitted a 3 point harness (will change to a 4/5point at a later date)
and i made some adjustments to the cage (raised it up a bit)

cheers mate, i went with the bilstiens simply because they are tried and tested and i have only ever seen 100% feedback from people, for about an extra £150 i could of bought the GAZ gold setup, but tbh i just dont need it, my mate has the same setup as mine with KW springs on his "is" and does sub 9's at the ring with ease

iv just done some last min bit and bobs to her for monday, fitted camera mount, fitted some padding to top of cage, removed rear door cards, and gave her a check over - all good

JD

next update will be pics in action and videos

well brands was ace!!, it was more of a car test day for me really, it highlighted what "really needs" doing to the car big time. (tyres, ARB's, Z3 rack and x brace) :thumb:

no off's, but i did managed a complete 360 spin at PHB lol... - cold - shite tyres - with understeer and oversteer all wrapped up in one ;) almost corrected it but when it goes it goes haha

i have loads of pics: heres a couple

Looks like your hard work paid off and you had a good day. The most improvement you'll see will be from a decent set of tyres and a Z3 rack.

I don't think you'll see a worthwhile benefit from the X-brace, save your money for a worthwhile mod'.

I'm mega rich...oh wait a sec.... :(

I share the 205 3 ways with my brother and dad after we took his 200sx off the road. It makes it much more affordable. After doing 15/20 mins on a track you need a break as its mentally and physically tough keeping up a top pace. That allows for another driver to give the car a battering. The car does take a pasting as it spends A LOT of time on the circuit.

My 318is is far to slow to be used. :P

Looks really good Junior, you are quite young as well arn't you?? Fair play to getting out and getting some experience. Decent tyres are worth 4 seconds a lap in the dry on 1min + lap circuits- that is huge!
