I DID spend the Ԛ£ on something else!

But if i kept my car i would have done,

1: Air Con
2: Some decent suspension that isnt too harsh but still handles well
3: E36 rack or some other kinda quick rack
4: Some decent, well thought out sound proofing to give it a bit more refinement
5: M-tech II kit
6: M52 engine swap with the change

6k eh?

I'd spent it because it makes one hell of a car ut of the E30.

If I were to keep the M20 engine it would be
- 6 branch
- Dbilas Throttle Bodies
- 2.8 conversion
- POrted Head with 288 cam
- Stand Alone management to get everything running perfecto

You would see 240+ bhp with the above and the noise it make qould frighten most M3's including the E46.

Otherwise it would have to be e34 M5 engine, e36 3.2/3.0 engine or 4.4 V8 engine.

Suspension wise it would be the bargain price H&R kit @ Ԛ£360, short shifter and poly bushes here and there.

Obvioulsy I would be doing alot of the work myself to be able to get the above options into 6k.

It isnt that hard apparently, a few zoners are attempting 24v conversions. Take a look in the tech section!

I bought it like that so i never did any real work on it! :D

man that sounds like a great project , imagine being able to do this what a laugh , would certainly make a great winter project, and fantastic being able to do most of it yourself.

carbon fibre everything where possible
get a nice 2.0 4pot (some other companies engine like a XE)
rollcage

but id never spend Ԛ£6k on it unless it was on stuff i knew i could just sell and get my cash back.

I'd stick a turbo on.....ow wait a min....I'm already doing that

Not cost anywhere near Ԛ£6k.....yet

For Ԛ£6k I'd want....

Coilovers.....y not.....fully adjustable KW Varient 2
Suspension geometery checked and sorted
All rust chopped out and replaced
Respray
M-tech 2 kit
rebuilt engine/gearbox and diff using the best parts.

and I think that would be it, doubt you'd get much more for Ԛ£6k!!

I would fully restore it !! Full engine rebuild, fresh panels and respray and maybe do the interior if need be!! QUESTION : I have just replaced and upgrade my suspension all round and had to lower it 30mm(didnt want to lower it but it was the min lowering on the deal)it seems like the front is high than the back but i also replaced the rear beam bushes could this have anything to do with it? thanks danny

if i was mental, and had loads of money and had to spend 6k on an e30....

ummm. not sure. only engine and tastefull exterior mods.

to be honest, i would buy a nice e30 and get it restored. but this will probably surpass the 6k mark.

giving thousands of pounds to bexley seems mental in my opinion. remember.... the e30 isnt about going fast(ie trying to keep up with a new 330i). its about laughs, and a little bit of kudos.
