Yeah i do remember that you wanted them for something else but you were using E36 suspension. The wheels are a low off set of 13mm i think and are 8.5inc wide, and the tyre size is wrong for the E30,you really need an 8inc rim on the front with a 205/40 or 215/40/17 tyre, and a 20mm off set that should be ideal for the front,im not sure on the rear,i have not got that far yet!,but i would say you could use a 8.5 ormaybe a 9inc rim with a 20-25mm off set running a 225/35/17 tyre or idealy you could do with a wider tyre, but its hard to get the right profile, say a 245/30 or 35/17.A bridge you will have to cross when you come to it!.A wheel that suits these cars is the cross spoke styling 5 from the E39 5 series,in 8inc all round or 9inc rear (if they go on!).Keep up the good work!
yep ill go with that!!!!! lolSimon wrote:Agreed!bmautosport wrote:A wheel that suits these cars is the cross spoke styling 5 from the E39 5 series,in 8inc all round or 9inc rear (if they go on!).Keep up the good work!

yes mike,
a wheel i've really taken a liking to recently is the rondell 058.
with the sizes and offset's i have at the moment,
i could have a 8" rim on the front with a et30 offset,
the rear could be 9" with the same offset
i'll probably sell the wheels i have( to someone with a 5 series),
to fund the new wheel purchase.
i'm not in any rush yet though, still a few months work to do

i'm sorry richy, i'll be on holiday then!Richy325iTouring wrote:You got till the 24th july glenn its got to go on the rolers at interpro even if we have to tow it there
didn't do anything to the car last weekend, (had a weekend out of the garage) so monday, after work, i was grinding in the garage, monday night my eye starts itching, tuesday it starts hurting.
this morning i got up and i cant open it, so on my way to work
(at 2.ooam, driving with one hand covering my one eye)
i called into the royal gwent hospital.
doctor found a piece of metal in there.
this is the third time in two years i've had this.
must put my goggles on more often, because they get the metal out with a NEEDLE

good work there again!
i was wondering though when u plumb the brake pipes in ure gonna have pipes going towards the engine cam cover cs of the was the pipes come out thte master... u just gonna make em turn back on themselves as soon as the exit the master?
u got any better shots of how u did the linkages from the brake pedal into the servo..

widge, i had to put the battery there for now cos' the brain cant be disconnected from power for more than an hour cos' it loses its settings.
and then when you restart it, it over-fuels until its at running temp and the brain relearns its new settings
karan, here's a few more pics, its the best i could do for now.
what i did as a linkage was, modified the plunger arm out of the servo with an eyelet off the link-bar that runs from rhd to lhd, and used the short link piece with the double eyelet to reach/connect.
sounds complicated but you might see better in the pics

thought i'd have a play around with my badge today as it was a bit too wet to go lying around on the garage floor. (or is it my age!!).
it's not the finished thing, but thought i'd leave it like that for a while to see if i like it.
i made the '?' out of the '2'

i haven't done a great deal lately, seem to be busy doing other things.
i've managed to mount the battery in the boot.
hidden all the wires and relays etc that were down in the passenger footwell.
fitted two small cone filters, i've yet to fabricate some surrounds for them to receive a cold air supply.
connected up the vacuum for the servo.
i've also been having a look at fitting ( after i come back off holidays) ,two
extra anti roll bars, two at the front and two at the back, should almost
eliminate body roll.
