Hi

I cant find the post for the Emerald ECU and just wondered how it was going?

Has anyone else here got one fitted? I was thinking of doing something similar with a Weber Alpha but the emerald looks better...

Also are you using distributorless ignition?

I think he just wanted to know what a few of the sensors were. Are you using a stock throttle body?

Sensors:

Throttle pot from Emerald
Crank position sensor from Emerald
Air and coolant Temp sensors from Emerald

That's about it really :)

325 is 6cyl. 1 TB per cylinder.

Not an M20 but 6 TBs all the same.

I've got an Emerald ECU running my M30.

Emerald TPS,coolant and air temp sensors
BMW CPS and toothed pulley.

They are fairly easy to wire your self depending on your previous experiance working on car electrics,it's just fiddely and time consuming.

How did you sort out the mappings, or did you just take it to a dyno and have them do it?

Is there a basemap that gets the engine running or does it figure it out from the parameters of the engine? Also I presume the maps are fixed as there is no lambda sensor?

They supply a base map depending on what you tell them you're using it for. Mine came with a map from a VW VR6-Turbo just to get me running and get the engine run in.

After that, it really needs setting up on a rolling road.

There is a closed loop lambda function, but I'm not sure it can map itself.
