about changing my very slow tappee 318i engine to the 318is.
i.e how easy is it and do i have to change everything

The M42 is OK... What you need in the heavier cab is a nice M20B25 to cruise around in. MUCH faster all round too....

yes i agree with you but the m42 convertion just seem alot easyer to do when it seems to be just a swop over.

the next thing i need to is to find a rotten but with good engine 318is and as cheap as i can find one.

ya but i`m guaranteed to get every thing i need to do the convertion then.
