Hmmm, £76 from rallynuts doesn't sound like too bad a price to me!

Cheers for the heads up on that, might well order a pump from them :D

How much have people paid for injectors too out of interest?

There's some on ebay (440cc ones) for about £260 which doesn't sound all that bad to me.

my local gsf stocks them for saab only ??

do you think I would be able to fit the pump to the e30 assembly? or do walbro actually make a different pump for the saab?

Ive just picked up my set from America and all inclusive it was £171 thats with duties and postage. They were 42lb ones from http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/

Also bought a Walbro cant remember which one though and it was around £110 delivered to Ant's place.

Looking for injectors and pumps myself and came across this site http://www.injector.com/fuelinjectors.php don't know if it's of any use to you guys. It's got a good injector calculator on to work out the correct size injector for your engine power. Prices seem really good aswell :D

http://www.racetronix.com/

About the walbro-
I have tried to buy locally of people who have them for subarus or 200sx but they are trying to convince me not to purchase it as they say the fittings wont be for an e30?

can someone clarify that i will be allright buying these pumpos that i actually will be able to wire and plump them into my e30??

cheers

I'm pretty sure they are all the same, it's not like there's much of a design is there, just a round tube like pump.

Toby Unna fitted his and the write up is on here somewhere.

all my walbro needed to fit was to connect up the wires and solder them together. otherwise a straight swap.

for the record the walboro 255 was very easy to fit to the standard e30 pump housing
however the + and - terminals are SO VERY close to the pump housing and i had to resolder on the walboro wires on to the bmw terminals and to be honest i cant relax driving the car - is there anything i can do to ease my mind - i keep ketting visions of the tab touching the housing or the solder braking and me going up in smoke!
was thinking of covering the connections in a non cunductive substance like a 2 pac glue but figure the petrol mightt melt it soon enough.

I found that with these pumps it is easier to change the terminals. If you leave the existing wires on the e30 housing (just cut the end at the pump and the fit new electrical connectors to the fitting that connects to the walbro pump).
If it eases your mind it is very difficult to set fire to the fuel in the tank as the mixture is too rich to burn (just like when the engine is flooded it wil not ignite the fuel air mix as there is not enough air present ) An empty tank is possibly more dangerous as there is more air so the mixture is possibly in the flammable range.
If you are worried about your soldering I would suggest that you get a second fuel pump holder and change the electrical connectors
