yes mate. the one at the top is just the first one i pull out and overlay the rest on them. makes a good comparisonRosc0PColtrane wrote:Cheers Dave. So the key to the run is at the bottom of the page, not the reg and name at the top!

So Dave do you think if i went ahead and installed a 5-Speed id get a better power output or do you think having a slushbox may have made the power output look more positive?
Anyway I think upgrading to a Halfords panel filter was the key really.

Mines being remapped soon, this should see more power and torque because the fuelling is terrible, and I'm dropping the FSE powaaah boost fire starter valve too. Should be fun.1an wrote:Gareth over here mate, (well not my car but my dads)march109 wrote:32mpg for the whole day including the run on the rollers!![]()
I bet it did cost more, but it needn't I know you could beat 200bhp all day long with a basic 2.8L build, remember mine was built and paid for by Adam too, I'm only bearing the development cost of my new 2.9L/3.0L M20 which some of the cost will be recouped by selling the old engine, and don't forget its still on the log manifold and fuelling is all over the place. 250bhp N/A is the goal. and I think its achievable. 5 bags deep and nearly ready to assemble.
so you were 2bhp more, and missing alot less torque??

This is what I have planned and the addition of a very sexy racing dynamics 6 branch manifold, but this will require fettling to fit with the e36 rack. Thats the rub I don't want to pay for extra mapping after the management is fitted because ofthe 6 branch so it all has to be done at the same time, and most important to me is that it all looks factory.Ant wrote:Adams old turd need the Unichip wrongness and FSE removed ASAP, Adam actually booked her in to me last year for an MS setup but sold the car before completion.

Yeah i had that too, my last run was 188.7hp/173.8lbft, Dave used 188.6hp/170 lbft but to be fair the tourqe curve was a little wobbly on the last run.
Still pleased i matched (beat) your wicked motor Eko that engine bay is pure sex.

Was good to put faces to names on the day!
I was very happy with the dyno results, most powerfull 2.5L M20, bar the charged E21 which made some cool noises!
Just leaving Fritz bits

Down the lanes, nasty weather.

Queing up at the A303 junction
