It's not really an M5 without the 24 valve engine. It's really just a dressed up 535i. It doesn't have the brakes, the suspension, the overdrive gearbox or modified steering box of the M5.B7 wrote:Thats a genuine M535i. Basicaly an M5 but without the 24valve lump. What a load of rubbish. These are light and nimble - perhaps not E30 light and nimble, but great cars to drive.jprcelite wrote:BE carefull here, dont be mistaken by the attractive looks. The bus like standard E30 steering rack is equally hideous, hence why the E36/Z3 rack is a popular upgrade.jprcelite wrote:BE carefull here, dont be mistaken by the attractive looks. Is that confirmed with the BMW database? If it's not an M535 then its a good copy. i did think the chrome window surrounds were a give away but IIRC decrome surrounds didn't come in till about '87.zimmerbimmer1 wrote:According to spec is is a 535i automatic with front and rear spoilers and sport seats as factory options.
IT IS NOT A M535i or M5.
hope this helps
Agreed to a point but I was always led to believe it had the M5 suspension. It certainly had mTech suspension.cecotto479 wrote:It's not really an M5 without the 24 valve engine.
