anyone know if an m20 2.0 flywheel is different to a m20 2.5 flywheel

M20 flywheel's not bad for weight - it's the M40 one that looks like it belongs on a diesel.

It's to slow the 4 pots down abit so they won't make a joke of the snoby engines :P


Actually glad this came up as a mate is looking into putting a M20 flywheel on a M42 and was wondering if the b20 and b25 were identical since he has a 320 scraped

EVERYTHING about the Sport engine is exactly the same as a 'normal' 325i engine.

NO ITS NOT.

For a start there are sport pistons, sport rods, sport louvred head, sport cam, sport crank, sport cankle knackers, sport head bolts, sport ventilated sump ect ect....

Worth noting that the prefacelift 325i uses a unique flywheel. It has the pickups for the crank position sensor mounted on it, and without these the car won't start.
