1994 E36 Engine, which had a cut loom, so put an E34 520i loom on (not sure on age.. Single VANOS..)

Have 3 female 3 pin connectors left over but crank and cam sensors are either wrong peg placement or also female, if that make sense?

Anyone got any ideas?

The 2 litre engines went through a lot of changes, I had a loom just to nick bits out of and noticed differences with ECU pins also.

I would double check its compatible before going any further

Just looked through realoem and as I thought the part numbers are not compatible between 520i and 525i engines.

Surely 2.0 cam/crank sensors would do the job?! Same way 325i ones do when you go to 2.8.. Unless the ecu doesnt plug in.. Only other issue would be the pegs on the temp sensors.. Hmm.. Scrappy run take 2..

Chop off the 320i plugs and fit the 525/325 ones, then move the pins in the ecu so they're in the right place?

Sounds like a pain in the cock. There has to be a VANOS 525i in a breakers.

If the ECU pins are in the wrong place..

2.0i vanos ecu with sensors and 325i chip?
