Hi,

I'm looking at coming from the Isle of Man to my home island of Anglesey (Ynys Mon) for a track day at this circuit that everyones going on about and how good it is...

Friday 19th Sept 2008 With Circuit days £169.00

Or Saturday 25th October with Book a Track - Coastal circuit again £160.

I would prefere the Sept one as less chance of me loosing my breakfast on the ferry over from the Isle of Man...

Anyone up for this? Would be great to meet up with a load of Zoners and see some E30 track action

A little bit later but Northloop are doing it with circuit days on 1st Nov. There will be loads of my lot there. The discounted price is £150 and as with all Circuit days events it includes additional drivers, passengers and 20 mins tuition.
If you come to that one I will get the chance to see how good a job you did of fitting the Sun strip :D :D

Nice one Agent006 - would be good to see you there ...

BTW - just met a guy with an audi quattro - white 1988, he's owned it for 18 years, a bit of work to do but he will have a fab car at the end..

I may be looking for an audi quattro - what version would you go for given a budget of £6k..? and where to buy?? PM me if you like .. :D

Latest 10v you can get. I think '86 is the changeover to the MB engine, which is much more reliable than the earlier cars.

If you're buying in the UK then an inspection by Phil at http://www.isham-research.co.uk/quattro/inspection.html is absolutely essential. These cars can be extremely expensive if you buy a bad one, plus lots have "interesting" histories. Add to that the complete unavailability of an increasing number of parts, getting a good one is getting more important as time goes on. Audi's parts supply is utterly shameful.

Roger Galvin at http://www.thequattroworkshop.co.uk/ is also good on these.
And keep an eye on quattroforum.com

Cheers for the info - perhaps a e30 m3 may be the better bet...Just fancied a quattro from Ashes to ashes winkeye

Hi - I had a mint one of these - awesome cars.... but can be expensive if they go wrong... mine was fine for 3 years apart from once when coming back from kart race down a dual carriageway at about the speed limit winkeye approaching roundabout dabbed the brakes and heard the famous synthesised voice say... "brake failure"....
All four seats got a change of colour.... !! Suffice to say it was just a glitch - brakes were fine

As far as engines go, yep try and get the later the better, Changed from WR type to MB (but still 10v) in Oct 1987 along with some other worthwhile improvements, and then to the RR 20v in late 1989 - the 20vs still make a huge premium...
IMHO, a good service history from knowledgeable source is essential...
White 318iS, 2.7 conversion, LSD, H&R cup kit, ARBs, F&R strut braces, full cage, kevlar buckets, wilwood 4 pot brakes, braided hoses, 6pt harnesses, f/glass bonnet, Toyo 888's, scorpion, polybushed, carbon cards and boot lid.

Hi

Yes I am interested. :D

We did our first track day in our 325 today - very very pleased with it :)

I can do the saturday in October but will struggle with a Friday before October due to a lack of holiday days left at work :(

I would be very interested in going along to a day with a fellow 325 owner.
