E36 window switches

Moderator: martauto

I really like the switches and not a hard mod to do.StuBeeDoo wrote:Not sure about the dials, but E36 switches are well cool - was one of the first mods I did to my E30.

I haven't a clue. Theoretically a switch is a switch is a switch, but I tried one with the small green base and I couldn't get it to work any way anyhow.shedrool83 wrote:Whats the reason you can't use other coloured switches other than white or blue?
My scrappy had a few but none were white or blue so i had to get them from england .

Ive got that kit on my car too; very easy to install, just ensure you use PTFE tape to ensure a good seal! The wiring is not that hard; its routing it into the car neatly that took the most time!Wasn't hard at all Cliffy once i had the bit below to fit in the block.

Just as mrllee said, the rev counter needs to be pushed left or right abit to get it spot on.mrLEE30 wrote:what would be cool is inverting your fuel and temp gauge too, it would confuse the hell out of the next owner![]()
jhonno - surely just pull the needle off and refit them at whatever angle you want, they still turn the same way
