folding mirrors sorry if duplicate post

Hi do my mirrors fold in manually ? please
1.6 i 1989.
can,t seem to move them.

They did when the car was new! 'White rust' has probably seized them, so several doses of your favourite rust releaser required.

Ally flakes and sticks to other metals materials, try some WD40 wit PTF or ACF50

Is the paint pealing on the brackets?

white from ally is the oxidization

paint starting to peel on brackets, but not to bad, lubbed up with trans fluid has good creep, used a little black grease(c.v joint type ) on the metal moving part inside underneath. you need a bright light and close inspection
to see it, there is a dipple where the mirror housing sits in when at home position works fine now.
