Only thing Hayne's says about the sunroof is don't touch it.
Open the roof about 1/3 of the way back, and pull down the front of the liner with your hands. It's held up by six or seven spring clips. When it's loose slide it back out of the way.
Now put the roof in the tilt position and you will see three torx screws each side, looking from inside the car outwards. Remove these and the steel panel lifts out.

Mechanism in the motor/handle area consists of two metal plates riveted together. A black one in front and a gold coloured one behind it.
Conversion can be done by just changing the manual black plate for the electric one complete with motor, but there is a minor problem which will occur regards fitting the motor.
Best way to do it is to fit the electric motor mech complete with the guide tubes. Just wind the manual mech off the flex cables, and then wind them into the electric mech tubes. Close the roof completely, remove the motor from the plate, use the switch to set the motor to fully closed, and then refit it. All timed perfectly.

does it matter if my cables are fooked? they no longer have the plastic sheathing.. and just bunch up in the roof panel instead of stying in the guides. Could I get the cables as well.. and just do as you said?

You can change the cables as well if you need to.
Beware of the edges of the stainless steel plates that hold the roof end of the cables in place. THEY ARE SHARP!
