Could anyone with a 318iS do me a favour please?
I now have two 318iS-es. The lower front panel below the front bumper on one is smooth but on the other it's rough and textured.

I think the smooth one looks better but before I go hunting for a replacement front panel for the second could anyone please have a look at their car and let me know if the smooth one was standard, or was it the rough one?
Thanks
John

The panel should have a textured finished, anti stone chippie! the smooth panel will get chipped to death...

Smooth one may well be a replacement panel, although it may be 'stonechipped', just not very well!

Original should have a textured finish John. Smooth one was probably a respray. However, you will hardly notice the difference. The main thing is the condition of the front valence on the inside, they can be prone to rust and getting a good used one is nearly impossible. The smooth one may have received some stonechip paint that was applied with a normal spray gun rather than a schutz gun.
