Seen these advertised a few times on e-bay, has anyone tried one on their E30 or are they as completely bogus as I suspect they might be?!

never tried it but id reckon anything that offers 15bhp for a couple of quid would be bollocks
maybe you should buy one and report back with your findings?

i also note it states it will not harm your engine in any way then has a disclaimer against any damaged caused by fitting this product at the bottom

DO NOT BUY THIS.
you need a slap across the face with a wet fish if you buy it.

Probably as shite as those 'Carbonflo' tablets that you dropped in your fuel tank to miraculously convert a leaded fuel-only engine to run on unleaded (Practical Classics ran a test on them and the cylinder head was shagged after only a few thousand miles!), or the cheap bolt on economy/power boosters that have been peddled over the years...out of interest, has anyone had any positive results with an Ecotek valve on their E30?

i imagine it would be similar to the other resistors previously seen on ebay that was added to your air flow meter and allegedly confused the sensor into allowing more fuel to be pumped in giving much worse mpg and no extra power.if they really did work it would be the first mod every garage recommended
