I just got an eaton supercharger and intercooler for real cheap they seem to be in real nice shape they look like new :D . what i need to know is what kind of injectors should i use? as of now i'm running the stock injectors and an eta ecu and harness.(i only still use this set up because i suck with electronics) i was told that this set up uses low impedence injectors. I do have a set of 4 pinol injectors from a v12 e31. any ideas if these will work.
Thanks for any help

Can only offer a vague reply here —a the stock injectors fitted to the M20 engine are generally thought to be inadequate if much extra power is produced, which sounds likely in your case! But you can't just stick bigger injectors in, they'll overfuel.

I expect you'd need an adjustable FOR, and preferably a gauge that measures the amount of oxygen in your exhaust, then spend a lot of time fiddling with it... most people who've fitted bigger injectors to the M20 use the ones from the E36 M3, so don't know about the ones you've specifically asked about, sorry.

I believe the stock injectors are good for 210-220hp. Or something like that. Why not get a FPR and turn up the pressure. if that will work.

Yes, everyone's DEAD JEALOUS of my numberplate

You're right with the bhp. And that assumes no blockage of the injectors, which will NOT be the case if you have more than a few thousand miles on them. Yes, turning up the FPR is the way to go, but you don't know how far to turn it up without an oxygen meter. Too far, and you risk bore wash. And slowness!

I was running stock injectors from a 535i with my old eaton charged 2.7i.
They are simply not up to the job i tryed raising the fuel pressure adjusting the flap ,ect, ect

If your going to supercharge it your gonna have to go standalone IMO

That is what i was afraid of (stand alone). I have an ajut. fuel reg. and air fuel sensor gauge. but i just don't think the injectors are up to it any one know of what kind of low impedence injectors will work on the m20? i just don't think i will be able to wire a stand alone and MS seems way out of my knowlage base.

If your Eta is Motronic not LE Jetronic you need high imp( Z ) injectors in the 14-18 ohms range the low imp units for the LE are 3-5 and will fry any ecu not equipped to deal with the flyback current.

if your Dizzy is munted on the camshaft , she motronic, down the side under the inlet is Jetronic

there is a huuuuuuge knowledge base on MS in the US, it really is the only option to achieve what you're wanting dude, the wiring is easy enough, the tuning is where the fun begins.

as for upping the fuel pressure, M20 stock pump is maxed out for flow at 4.0 bar @ WOT, not worth the risk, Walbro 255 in tank unit is $75 US and will flow plently for your needs.

have a trawl on E30Tech, see if you can find someone to help out locally, just make sure they have experience before lashing $$$ though, dont want to be left with a blown mill, and empty pockets.
