Hi guys- Thought I'd put a few photos of my recently acquired 320i Touring! It has only had 2 owners and covered 66,000 miles, and it's in excellent condition, with only small amount of paint bubbling on front wing lips. I'm just about to get it re-mot'd after it has sat with last owner off road for over 2 years!

I have had 11 BMW's over the years, mostly E36,E46 and X5's but this is the first E30!

Lovely looking touring. Get some nice 15" BBS wheels on it and it'll be perfect.

What was your starter problem becausenim having problems with mine as we speak, I've changed the spark plugs, now just waiting on crank shaft sensor, blue temp sensor and new relay coming before I start changing anything else major

I bought it off a work colleague. He had it for over ten years and for the last two and a half it sat unused on his drive. He brought it to work one morning and I happened to ask him if it was for sale, and half an hour later it was mine! It was really bought as a stop gap car as the wife's X5's air suspension packed up last week and we have been waiting for parts to come from Germany. I may hang on to it for a while as it is such a nice car. I am also having a 1990 Honda crx restored at the moment, but you can't have too may 80's / 90's projects on the go can you!! :D

Very nice looking Touring. I'd keep hold of that - it's only going to increase in value.

That's a lovely looking car - you did well there! Malachite is the best colour for a Touring in my opinion, but I'm biased as mine is a G reg 325i Touring in the same colour! :D

Cheers, yes, it does go well with the black leather. Have ordered some leather rejuvinator to bring the colour back in a few faded areas, and I'll probably get the wheels refurbed over the coming weeks too, which will really lift the appearance I think.

Don't forget that this has a cam belt, which well may be badly cracked and about to let go at any moment, unless you know otherwise. Be a pity to destroy it's engine for the want of a 12 pound belt and half a day's work.

Yes, it is already booked in to have a timing belt, waterpump and tensioner fitted. It did have a new one fitted 2000 miles ago, but that was ten years ago!!

If a new tensioner was fitted 2000 miles ago, then that will be fine to re use*. Belts expire with age, tensioners don't.

* As long as it isn't one of the faulty ones, where the centre stem isn't attached to the back plate properly.
