Cheers, yes, it does go well with the black leather. Have ordered some leather rejuvinator to bring the colour back in a few faded areas, and I'll probably get the wheels refurbed over the coming weeks too, which will really lift the appearance I think.anothere21323i wrote:That's a lovely looking car - you did well there! Malachite is the best colour for a Touring in my opinion, but I'm biased as mine is a G reg 325i Touring in the same colour!

Yes, it is already booked in to have a timing belt, waterpump and tensioner fitted. It did have a new one fitted 2000 miles ago, but that was ten years ago!!Brianmoooore wrote:Don't forget that this has a cam belt, which well may be badly cracked and about to let go at any moment, unless you know otherwise. Be a pity to destroy it's engine for the want of a 12 pound belt and half a day's work.

Thanks for the heads up re that-I'll check.Brianmoooore wrote:If a new tensioner was fitted 2000 miles ago, then that will be fine to re use*. Belts expire with age, tensioners don't.
* As long as it isn't one of the faulty ones, where the centre stem isn't attached to the back plate properly.
