When i finished my m20b25 engine conversion and went for the first start the engine was turning over but would not fire.
After a bit of poking about i noticed i had the fuel line on the wrong way round,so had the fuel supply piped up to the return line on the FPR.
So had fuel pressure to the wrong side could this of damaged the FPR in any way as iv read its a diaphragm valve.
if so what symptoms would i see if damaged FPR
cheers guys

I've managed to do it more than once with no ill effects to the FPR

There was a thread on here last year where someone had done this and it did damage the regulator.
IIRC, after being reconnected the right way around, it eventually sorted itself out an started working properly again, but the owner changed it anyway.

Cheap kits are only about 13GBP on ebay, and can be used to diagnose injector and fuel pump problems, as well as test the FPR.ross_jsy wrote:With a fuel pressure tester.

I bought a tester kit, what a bloomin' joke, none of the connectors fit to each other, all the threads are different sizes or pitch, no way to attach the T piece to the gauge or the gauge to anything else !! utter crap - buyer beware!
