I need a new in tank pump. I thought originally I could just buy the pump and fit it to the body of the old one after it's been cleaned up and replated.
On inspection, the terminal on the bottom of the electrical plug has broken of and the underside area where it would seal to the tank is too heavily corroded.
Looking around at replacements, it seems they are nearly all the single pipe version and could only find one on eBay with the twin pipes which seems a no-name brand but also has a different electrical plug on top which would then mean chopping the loom and finding a correct replacement plug.

Anyone had to replace the same or know of a correct aftermarket one that's a straight fit ? Might also be interested if someone has the correct unit that's rust free to which I can replace the lift pump.
Thanks

eBay part with wrong plug ?

Thanks, Andrew. I thought there'd be pumps aplenty of a decent named brand, but seems very few twin pipe pumps with the correct plug for some reason.

Its not only the plug Brian, one of the metal pipes is also larger in size so is very specific to M3 and other E30's which required a pre supply pump.

Thanks for the info. Doesn't seem a lot of choice for this type with the correct plug, so maybe run it and see how it goes or swap the pump out for a known brand.
