Hi all,
What's the best type of coolant I can use for my 325? Currently it has red in it, which the bmw specialist put in it. But I've been told it should be blue, other have said used prestone green.
Anybody clear this up?
Cheers
Which coolant type to use?

Use blue,
red is for more modern stuff and has something in it that old cars don't like!

i thought the color had something to do with how long it lasted??
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

As far as I'm aware red is meant to be extra long life coolant (5 years or so), but I don't see the point when I will be changing it every two years!steve_k wrote:i thought the color had something to do with how long it lasted??
