Im using B8 dampers with a H&R spring kit and think there great, no floaty business: quite firm but not harsh. Would be my first choice if i was in the market for a new susspension set up. See what others think and use.

How many miles on the dampers that are on the car now? 100,000 mile dampers don't necessarily need 'uprating' - they just need renewing.

118k miles. Don't see point in renewing 25 yr old shocks. Update or just get new standard.

You can't go wrong with bilstein eibach or H&R combined in any format

It's an upgrade / modification that's good for any e30

I think that is what Brian meant, Das. I.e. replace like for like with new OE dampers, rather than 'upgrade' to aftermarket spec/manufacturer, rather than some kind of refurbishment.

Ah ok. Replace the current with OEM.

I used B6s and eibach springs and ARBs on mine and loved that combination. I've no experience of H&R stuff but I'm sure it's equally as good. Why not try new OEM stuff?
