I am just lookiong for opinions on lightweight windows.
For my track car I would like something which is thermoformed and has a slider in each front door glass.
Has anybody any advice for me ? A recommended supplier would be great. It is not something I have bought before and I dont want to just buy any old thing...
As far as I can tell from searching there are differences in thickness and some are thermoformed which I am guessing that means "shaped" as per stock glass ?.
I would like to keep as much of the stock appearance as possible, although that is not the priority here of course...
Thanks in advance,
Will

Thanks bud,
I am looking to use something like this and gut the front doors. The window will be fixed into position and a slider placed in each door should help me stay cool...
They do state one of the "REAR 1/4 WINDOW TYPE" as "Chrome Frame fit 1/4 Window".
I am guessing this is what I want to just swap with my oem glas into the existing seal and trim ?

And the price is not bad for the kit @ £306+vat inc 2 x door sliders...
£550.00+vat for the windscreen is out of my budget though

How much for a full set from P4P? Ouch!
check out ACW Motorsport for polycarb windows.

I just got a full set of windows, 3/4s, rear window and sliders for £200. Plus postage.
Works with oem rubbers too.

Unless it was hardcoated/scratch resistant and heat formed to work with standard winders I wouldnt be interested. You can buy a sheet of makralon for about £60

Keep a look-out for second-hand windows. I got the fronts new & unused for £30, the rears for £25 and the rear off eBay. I only have a slider in the drivers window, although I may have to remedy that or fit a cold-air intake as I'm sure it'll get quite sweaty come summertime.
Well worth doing on a lightness & lower centre of gravity front though.

with the rear 3/4 windows they are fine. I have the pull out windows but a set of std 316 rubbers on the rear and you are fine.
for HALF the price of P4P I know which way I would be going!!

Hi, Come try me! I've been in the windscreen trade over 30 years, heavily into my motorsport, and can do moulded (thermoformed) windows too. Advice will only cost you the price of the call, and I won't do you down.
