Hello all,

I've been searching and phoning around to get hold of a T3 garret exhaust to turbo gasket.

Ford doesn't sell them (tried the cossie route), none of the local car places do either.

Does anyone know where you can get these? (without having to buy a new turbo  )

And are they made of a certain material?

I ask as I doubt I can cut out one from a sheet of gasket paper, I expect that will just explode into flames

Any ideas?

Cheers, Mark.

Yep, I can get a copper one for Ԛ£12 + P&P from ferriday, but.....he's says it has to go on to completely flat surfaces or the copper will melt!

He also will do M20 copper gaskets for Ԛ£166.00 + some additional gaskets to ensure a excellent fit are Ԛ£70.20.

These gaskets have been used on cossies lumps for upto 600bhp!!

Just not sure if this is a bit OTT for what I'm using it for.

Mark don't quote me on this, but are saab 9000 turbos, and 900's for that matter t3, they should be able to get one if its t3, will probably be a GM part. Might have to wait a week for it but it won't be Ԛ£12 i wouldn't have thought. Where did ant get his?

Also rover turbos use a 4 bolt fixing pattern but it might not be t3, might be t25, not too sure.

Looking back at my post i haven't really been able to help much, oh well BUMP anyway!

Jon,

The only saab turbo I've seen latley was a T25 that is stuck on dean's m20, may give saab a call anyway :D

And did you mention a rover part? (ow no, no, no, not on my bmw)

So far just the copper one has cropt up, I'm not worried about the cost really, but more the fact if the surfaces are not absolutley flat, it will melt the gasket

Still making my mind up on this tbh.

Ow, decisions, decisions.

That would be rather handy, thanks, I'm aiming to leave early on Sat AM to get down to kent, so if you're ok with a strange man turning up on your doorstep about 8am on a sat morning then go for it. :D

I just need to check with a man that knows about turbo's as to what type I need, the copper one or the s-steel one.....I've not got a clue

Will let you know asap,

Cheers, Mark.

hi mate, the cosworth route is the best route, try Amber Performance on 0845 260 0015 ,the gasket your looking for is a Cometic re usable gasket for the t3 ,good luck.
