Do me a favor mate and hit the caps lock button... the use of upper case txt is classed as shouting.
and yes the props are the same, they can also be adjusted.

AUTO AND MANUAL PROPS ARE DIFFERENT THE FRONT SECTION IS SHORTER ON AN AUTOMATIC PROPSHAFT. THE REAR SECTION IS THE SAME FOR BOTH TYPES

SO YOU WILL NEED A LONGER MANUAL PROPSHAFT, CAN YOU HEAR ME?!

I put the caps on because I was trying to make what I was saying sound urgent and important. I'm sorry if I came across as if I was shouting.

OP,manual props should all be the same fittings, you can ajust the length by slackening the collar nut close to the centre bearing and sliding the joint in or out. Please do not seperate the two pieces because your next question will be,'I have a terrible vibration after I swapped my propshaft...'

Please do not post what might appear to be offensive to someone only trying to help. He doesn't get paid to take that - Or do you, Simon13? :) Also, if you choose to edit your original posts please let the forum readers aware of the change and apologise. For all you know there could be someone routing through official BMW parts sheets just so you can be happy.

Seriously. Lets start again.

You have a complete prop shaft with center bearing from a G reg 4 door. Will this fit into your 2 door convertible. Is that clear?

edit - and you also want to know whether all manual props are the same dimensions...as a seperate question. uhuh?
