The carbon canister remains clamped to the nearside innner wing/ turret area. Does this continue to have any purpose or do i remove, if I remove do I need to to anything in particular with the breather pipe going to the tank etc?

Mt touring is a late model with cat (now in the bin)

Well the M50 will come with a carbon canister breather system that you could easily attach to you canister. Normally you just leave the valve attached and zip tie it somewhere, but where's the harm in atatching it?
Will removing the cat make it a dick to get an MOT? What year is your car?

Test according to which is older, engine or vehicle.
e.g. A 1995 car fitted with a 1991 engine (of whatever make), test to 1991 standards for emission purposes.
Note: The onus is on the vehicle presenter
to prove engine age.
